Sukhumi or Sokhumi (Abkhazian: Аҟәа, Aqwa; Georgian: სოხუმი, [sɔxumi] ( listen); Russian: Сухум(и), Sukhum(i)) is a city on the Black Sea coast. Having struggled for 3 days in Abkhazia with no English menus I was quite happy to find this restaurant which is the only one I saw with the menu in English. No English spoken, but pointing to the English menu they were able to work out what was wanted. Food quality was decent and a good selection of local wines. Prices a bit higher than elsewhere, but still very reasonable by international standards. The smoking inside the restaurant was a little unpleasant.

Dont ever eat sushi here! or other dishes for that matter. They have no idea about making sushi in this place. They give a spec of fish and cucumber, and a huge slump of bad rice. Worst sushi existed. Price for all dishes completely exaggerated- and not worthwhile. The place is full of smoke. Stinking. The service people are cold, unwelcoming. The manager can't be bothered about clients. She still thinks she is there to give you favour- just like in the Soviet era.
