Dine on original sushi rolls, a four-pound giant clam, South African lobster and USDA choice steaks at Shinto Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar in Strongsville. Innovative cocktails and daily specials round out the features of this hibachi-style gem.
This is a hibachi restaurant. But I go for the sushi. It is the only place I order sushi from in this area. You can taste the freshness and admire the craftsmanship of the sushi chef's. Since it is a hibachi restaurant the regular seating area is small. You can opt to sit at the sushi bar or in the regular bar area. I would recommend making resverations. The cost is midlevel. I have eaten my way around the sushi menu and no matter if it was the regular spicy tuna roll or my own mix and match it has all been delicious. My wife orders from the non sushi menu and has enjoyed all her meal choices as well. I highly recommend them for their sushi and dinner menu. We have never tried the hibachi side but it always sounds like they are having fun and it's always busy so that must mean something.

We went to Samurai on a Saturday night, there was a long wait for the Hibachi, however were were there for the sushi. We sat at the sushi bar, our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. As we were sitting there the, the sushi chef handed us the bar special, which we didn't order, but they wanted us to try it, it was awesome. Our sushi and sashimi dinner had great variety, we subbed out the California roll (boring) and ordered the chefs special roll which was one of the best rolls we have ever had, multiple sushi and then it also had lobster on the top.

We have several Japanese establishments in Strongsville. Two are hibatchi type and more popular, but personally I prefer Sakura Sushi House. They can do a table side hibatchi, but I prefer to order off the menu.Presentation is lovely and the food was fresh and tasted very good.

Wow this establishment was really good. We were on the hesitant side when we walked in but we're impressed overall. The menu is both Japanese and Chinese. My daughter had sushi and I had shrimp and cashews. The wonton soup was so very good. Both were outstanding. We will definitely go again. They also do carry out.
