The food at this restaurant is delicious! It's well-prepared and is served quickly without losing any flavor or freshness. There's a variety of foods for both meat-lovers and vegetarians, as well as unique seasonal specials. The ravioli mushroom dumplings and the vegetarian ramen were really good.

There were so much creative process on the bed. The tuna sandwich was a big hit. I enjoyed their fresh scallop. Our server was accommodating which I always appreciate. It was a Friday night and kind of empty. Not sure if that’s the restaurant or just a New Haven thing. Reliable choice for sushi but not something to rave about.

Miya's Sushi

First-sustainable sushi restaurant in the world. Plant-based, future sushi. Inventor of the Sweet Potato Roll. Established in 1982. Family owned.

Unlike any restaurant I've ever visited, Miya's is an experience that starts with a creative menu. We were here to celebrate our daughter's graduation from Yale. We loved the casual atmosphere and the superb food. Our waiter answered all our questions, and one of the chefs came to our table to show us a moonfish filet, which has amazing ''starry night'' skin. Random, but cool! This is an expensive place, but worth the investment, because I will never forget this dinner. Well played, Miya's. Well played.

It's always fun to have hibachi with friends and family. We were celebrating a recent graduation. Kumo's is very accommodating to groups. Our girls, who really love sushi, love Kumo's. As always the hibachi chef's were entertaining and skilled in cooking our wonderful dinners.

Dozo

Reviewed By David L

Dozo is I think the third iteration of this Japanese restaurant, and although we try other new haven area sushi, we always return to Dozo. Their fish is fresh, tasty, and skillfully prepared. The sushi and nigiri are never disappointing, and the hot dishes like yaki udon are excellent as well. Wonderful ginger dressing, adequate beer and wine selection, helpful staff. Always willing to substitute the weird things that I like( octopus, mackerel) without complaint. Solid sushi experience.
