A colleague of mine ordered take-out for our group. the Wasabi Bistro offers sushi,, wok dishes and hibachi. For $8,50 she received a vegetable hibachi, soup, salad, rice and noodles. She was really pleased with the flavors and portion size. The rest of us ordered the wok mango chicken, miso soup, spicy salmon roll and wasabi rolls. The order was ready when I arrived to pick it up which is appreciated with what always seems like a short lunch. You order online from GRUBHUB. They also offer delivery and if you wish there are about 10 tables in a rather small eating area. It is BYOB. The menu is extensive but what really impressed me was the professional preparation and presentation of the sushi. The chief is a real master.

Up until recently, this was our go-to sushi house for take-out. The restaurant itself is nothing special - a few small tables. We enjoyed the take out, but they would never give enough soy sauce, wasabi, or ginger...Soy sauce is easy - everyone has a bottle in their house. We asked for "extra" wasabi and they gave what should have been the normal portion and then charged a few dollars extra. This goes down in my book under the title - "how to lose a customer". We now go to another local sushi house, coincidentally with the word "wasabi" in their name and never feel short changed on the side. Sadly, Boonton Sushi House has lost a long term repeat customer over their small dollop of wasabi and refusal to give a bit extra without charging for it.Oh - the sushi is fine here...and if you eat in the restaurant, their hot tea is very tasty.

Celebrated birthday with 14 people, excellent service/ did not feel rushed at all . No issues with food orders - hibachi. Hostess was friendly, accommodating & very helpful. Previous post mentioned pest issue- I did contact the town board of health about that- they have been recently inspected & currently have a conditional status. In speaking to them , felt good about eating there. When our party was done around 8:30, the place was packed with a lot of people waiting to be seated.
This is a local restaurant in my neighborhood, and we usually get the sushi as take-out. However, whenever I go to any other sushi restaurant, even the fancy ones, the sushi is never as fresh and good as at Sushi Kuu. I would consider this the best sushi restaurant in the area.

This restaurant has such an extensive menu that there's something for everyone( which is one of the reasons my wife's company often has office lunches there.)I started off our lunch with Wonton soup ( hot and delicious on a cold day ) my wifehad Miso soup which she also enjoyed. For an entree I had Pork Mixed Vegetables(sliced pork with red peppers, broccoli, zucchini ( i think ) all nice and crunchy.)My wife had Shrimp Mango Passion ( fresh, large shrimp and mangos ) which she enjoyed, but I guess I'm not much for mangos because they had a rather bland taste.) For dessert we shared Muchi Red Bean Ice Cream which seems to besome sort of gelatin outer covering with an ice cream center. A little unusual mouthfeel (having a warm outer cover and cold vanilla center) but very tasty. Service wasexcellent, friendly and efficient. They also have the best green tea I've hadanywhere.
