Staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they got both our meals wrong. After apologizing and some genuine attempts to fix the situation we still ended up waiting a long time for a soggy gluten free pizza (because they had to keep it warm while they fixed the other meal) and a chicken dish in which, at the second attempt, some of the vegetables were uncooked. We were polite and direct about the problems and they were quite lovely and proactive about as they tried to fix them. When we got the bill they they gave us a 25% discount. At this point we ate, paid and left. Tipping 15% because the service had be nice. Are we likely to go back? No. Why? Because on reflection would any decent restaurant serve a soggy pizza and still charge $14? If you saw 'soggy pizza $14' on a menu would you buy it? Of course not. Does East Side Mario's stand by the quality of their food - evidently not.I contrast this with our local Indian restaurant, Tandoori Knight, who immediately apologized for a much smaller issue - didn't charge us for that part of the meal - and in addition gave us a voucher. Not surprisingly with that attitude, the quality of their food is consistently excellent. We go back their often. East Side Mario's treated us like a problem to fix with partial compensation which, when you look at the end result, was quite absurd. I am sure that if an ESM executive or manager looks at this review they will be disappointed. My suggestion is this - please train your staff so that they know to stand back and assess a situation when food quality is poor and give them the flexibility to charge zero if the end product is not something that you would put in your advertising. We had a wrong topping on our pizza - we were OK with that (not even a discount needed). Soggy pizza for $14 - well that meant two lost customers and this review.Hi John, we are very sorry about the experience you had and the meal that was received. We want to make this up to you. My wife is from Woodstock and we now live about an hour away...At least once every three months, we have to drive back so she can order a Sebastian's pizza..deluxe, no 'shrooms...The cheese produces the greasiest pizza around..She's got grease up to her elbows by the time she's done...absolutely love it...take your cholesterol meds before you go...and enjoy every bite..

"we're sorry the kitchen fell apart".. seriously? all fries servings were cold and looked an hour old.. we had 3 kids birthdays and none of it was aknowledged despite being asked at the time we made the reservation.. the expirience from last year to this year detirioted quite a bit.. We tried Woodstock pizza after hearing such great things about the place. After our experience will never go back! This was the first time both my husband and I literally just threw a pizza out. The toppings weren't cooked because they were trapped under a ridiculous amount of slimy cheese. The middle was soggy, but some how the crust was burnt. I love to eat local and support local businesses, but I can't recommend this place to anyone.
