We were seated outside on a busy Friday night. Our server was overwhelmed, clearly he had been given too many tables as he was working his tail off to keep up with everyone, meanwhile drinks went dry at many of his tables (ours included) while he was playing leapfrog between all the tables he was given. He was so energetic and enthusiastic, never complained and he even acknowledged and apologized for the waits. He was given a huge table of maybe (10) midway through our visit, on top of the outdoor patio. The pizza came out (18â veggy) and it was a NY-style crust, done darn well for a Midwest restaurant. The beer menu here is huge, although we arenât big beer drinkers. The churro dessert was awesome, glad we left room and didnât try to finish the whole pizza. Weâd be back .... maybe .... if we knew weâd have consistent service from servers who werenât overtasked.

Since our home is a 45-minute drive from Italy, we didnât go for any of the pasta dishes. However, judging by the focaccia bread accompanying the steak, Johnnyâs is an americanized version of Italian. No big deal though, we came for the steak anyway. The choice is quite nice, balancing between plan classic steaks and those with signature add-ons. I ordered the ribeye and had a problem since it was vastly oversalted. They didnât complicate; just apologized and brought a new one, which was as it should be. I really appreciated that. The fries were so-so; the spinach salad that came with the steak would need more energy and thought put into it. Sliced sun-dried tomatoes were chewy and the sweet bits added to the salad were something you would not get in Italy. Overall, a decent choice considering the location and the fact that we could walk into the restaurant directly from our hotel. Matvez,Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry your visit wasnât up to par with your expectations. If you would like to discuss anything further please contact [email protected] Thank you
