Sheffield is a city in Colbert County, Alabama, United States, and is included in the Shoals metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, the population of the city was 9,039. I tend to come here with friends and their young children. The pies are consistently solid and the staff is really friendly. They seem to know how to seat customers to optimize their experience and always check in often. Super friendly folks and great pizza.

Stopped in for another great meal at Ricatonis. We are salad, pizza and had drinks. Pizza cooked to perfection always. Service fast and friendly. Drinks made to order served quickly and taste delicious. Restaurant is always full and so you should expect noise level to be high. Enjoy the food!
Southland has changed. It is now Stephano's Southland and it is an Italian bistro type restaurant. Stephano makes all kinds of great pizzas and sub snadwiches and has a few entrees as well. He has promised to expand the menu once he gets this place established and bring back some traditional Southland food. But in the meantime check out Stepahno's for great Italian food. Ask about the homemade cheesecake. You don't want to miss that.

The type of pizza and the flavors they serve are not the type we're used to. We're more used to the New York styles. Now the differences are not bad, it's just not the type we were able to enjoy. There were plenty of people in there enjoying their pizza.
The spaghetti was pretty good for mass produced, but the garlic bread didn't seem to have much garlic. One knife had dried food on it. All the salt shakers were clogged, no doubt due to the high humidity the last week. I tried the one on our table then the one from the next table over. They were all grinder types and wouldn't produce even one grain of salt. I told the receptionist who got one off another table and it weakly produced salt. Then she took the two that wouldn't work at all and put them back on the tables, then went back to loafing at her station. Our server was Andrew C who couldn't have been better. I mentioned the shakers to him and he promised to unclog them as soon as he had a minute. We did take a look at the brunch, lunch and dinner menus and there were some interesting possibilities. We commend Jack's Place for dedicating a day of business to a fund raiser for Meals on Wheels, a cause close to our hearts, we delivered for them for years in Sheffield before age caught up to us.We'll give them another try, and report again.
