Lelystad (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈleːlistɑt] ( listen)) is a municipality and a city in the centre of the Netherlands, and it is the capital of the province of Flevoland. The city, built on reclaimed land, was founded in 1967 and was named after Cornelis Lely, who engineered the Afsluitdijk, making the reclamation possible. Lelystad is approximately 3 metres (9.8 feet) below sea level.

We had lunch here one day and were looking forward to a good meal. Sorry - but we were disappointed. The food showed up rather quick but was not very well made. We did not find the food as expected and were not lucky about the dishes. Not recommended.

Ik ben hier geweest met een groep collega's. Niet direct via de social media gevonden toen we op zoek waren naar een bijzondere locatie voor een groep van 15 personen. Toevallig info gevonden over dit zeilschip de Bounty. Wat een aanrader. Het voormalig vissersschip is volledig gerestaureerd als kopie van het bekende schip De Bounty. Hier is echt vakwerk afgeleverd, je waant je in oude tijden zodra je het schip opstapt. Eigenaar/schipper Alex met zijn crew maken er een mooie avond van, veel gezelligheid, attente bediening en de kok zorgt voor een heerlijke winter BBQ. Op het dek branden de heaters en is het prima vertoeven, maar ook binnen volop ruimte en sfeer. Uitermate geschikte locatie voor teambijeenkomsten, familie happenings en ook om te trouwen kun je hier terecht: de Bounty is een officiële trouwlocatie. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug.
