Located inside of satsuma-denshokan, but you don't have to pay for the museum to enter this restraunt. They have nice garden view, delicious food priced properly. But I loved their graceful and polite staffs the most.

A fabulous place for a meal! We ordered a selection of things from the menu and everything was wonderful, I especially loved the mozzarella salad and the cured meat selection. The atmosphere was great, very warm and welcoming. We were also lucky enough to visit on a live music night which made the whole experience even better. We will definitely visit again.

We had two excellent appetizers with local delicious stuff and two great pizzas. The personnel gave fantastic service.We where waiting for a JR train back from Kaimon to Kagoshima chuo. When finished dinner a thunderstorm and very heavy rain arrived. One of the restaurant personnel proposed to drive us back to the station :-)We waited for two trains in 2 hours. None of us either speak or can read Japanese. We went back to the Piena restaurant. Again they surprised by helping us back to a station who still had train back to Kagoshima or possibility to find a taxi. This is customer service sky high over expectation. Please try this excellent place and nice atmosphere! Bengt and Anna
