We ordered a large vegetarian pizza and weren't disappointed. The crust is very thin and crisp. We also had strawberry smoothies and they were the best we have had yet. Service was really good and our waiter spoke some English. Very nice place just outside the mall

Today was our first time to try El Italiano and we were quite pleased with it. Finally we have found an Italian restaurant in Costa Rica that knows how to make their pasta âal denteâ. My wife had fresh pasta with Italian ham and black olives in a delicious red sauce. This was a truly well prepared dish and will keep us coming back to this charming little restaurant.I ordered the Margherita pizza and Imperial beer. The ingredients of the pizza were very good, even having a fresh basil leaf on every slice. It was also cooked pretty well, getting the crust a little toasty along the edge. The unfortunate part was that they put the pizza on a ceramic plate that immediately cooled the crust and made it get soft. We both really like a crispy crust and its difficult to achieve unless you present it in a tin pan or on a pizza cardboard with ridges. We hope they fix this small presentation issue and get to the same level on the pizza that they are on with their pasta.I also want to note that the Imperial came out of a special refrigerator that had the Imperial logo across the front and was truly ice cold. If you like Italian food, give them a try the next time you are in Grecia. They are just far enough out of the center of Grecia to have free parking and the service was great.

On arrival in a dark Grecia we looked around for somewhere to eat that didn't ONLY serve fried chicken. We were in luck with Macho as it also served pizza. The pies themselves were fine and seemed cheap for the size...don't expect any alcohol to be served, though.

It is difficult to say what impressed us the most, food, service or the atmosphere. This restaurant is conveniently located east of central Grecia. We were very impressed with our first visit and looking forward to returning.

A great out of the way restaurant situated off the main road thru town. The Venezuelan owners are very cordial and the food is a variety of Tico with a Venezuelan twist. The Fettuccine Alfredo con Pollo was delicious and the proportion large enough to take some home. Definitely a place I will revisit.Thank you very much for your kind comments.
