We enjoyed our meal very much. My husband's fish and chips was a very generous portion, and the laumb rump was perfectly cooked with beautiful flavours. Our desserts were scrumptious - not one but 2 pieces of brownie! And the strudel was devine. Would highly recommend. Food was great, and the staff friendly.

Just a short drive from New Plymouth, lahar is a great place to meet people and eat delicious food.Pizzas served after 530pm. Days menu has tasty kiwi brunch items and the salmon stands out. The hollandaise sauce is perfect Sausages could be better but this is a NZ wide problem.Has varied indoor and outdoor seating so kids can run around tormenting each other. Plenty of parking it's a new mothers dream place to go.

Fabulous just fabulous from the food to the service. Iâve not been here since the new owners took over however I can happily report that standards have remained high, in fact I would say they have reached new glorious heights. With the spectacular sea views to the magnificent service, smiles all round. I applaud the staff they are so happy and truly appreciative of serving. You are made to feel at hone as soon as you walk through the door until you leave. The food is gorgeous just gorgeous. I had a cake good portion and exceeding flavoursome. They say you eat with your eyes and nose, all I can say is thank goodness you donât put weight on in the same way, because you wouldnât stand a chance. I highly, highly recommend a visit.
