Iâve being coming for the last 10 years to Valais, I heard about the place from a colleague living in Valais and my family and I decided to try this place and the result was:- A beautifully decorated restaurant - Very friendly staff- Delicious dishes, specially the ones in the menu Temps de Vivre- Amazing view of the mountains- and the plus, enough space for my child to run around after dinner :-)And to finish the wine selection is great! We had lunch at the Régence last week, a few days after chef Samuel Destaing was awarded a Michelin star. Since he only opened this restaurant in July 2018 this came very quickly - in fact he told me that he did not think he would get one this time around. A great tribute not only to his cooking but to the new team he has assembled to run the restaurant.There were several highlights of the meal: My starter "Entre Terre et Mer" with barely cooked shrimp, a langoustine du Cap and a confit chicken leg on rice very much like a paella was outstanding. My main course - Iberian pork, slow cooked for 12 hours with a wonderful sauce was divine. Dessert "l'Originalité" married acidic and sweet fruits to a perfection. In fact - we liked the meal so much we asked the chef how long the current menu will be kept - to mid April apparently when the Asparagus season starts in the Valais. The best apres bar that we went to in terms of atmosphere on the slopes. Open air, good music and group of people intent on having fun. Definitely worth a visit when in Verbier.
