Oia is carved out of the cliffs, and visitors can see houses built for Venetian sea captains as well as the more typical "cave houses" of the villagers. You’ll find the pure white buildings with colorful roofs that are typical of Greek architecture, and you’ll probably enjoy poking around the town. But don’t breeze through in an hour—you must stay for the sunset. It’s legendary. Watch from a café, or, better yet, from a boat—you’ll be spellbound.

Long before Santorini became known as one of the worldâs most popular destinations, Oia was a small village with 306 inhabitants, located at the northern edge of the caldera. Lauda, built on this rock in 1971, was the villageâs ï¬rst restaurant. It was the
My wife who has allergies has eaten at many Michelin star restaurants. In every case, we make sure to provide the allergies ahead of time so there is ample time to accommodate. We provided at least 3 days of advanced notice, yet we're told we couldn't be accommodated.I think the chef was simply too lazy to prepare something special.

We stopped for a cold drink here. Great location looking out onto the bay whilst remaining shaded. The drinks were well priced as well considering the location.Slight sour note was the grumpy waiter. They seemed understaffed but he was very gruff with guests, almost to the point of being confrontational which wasnât necessary.

Had a reservation, but was seated at a non optimal table initially because our reserved table was still occupied. No problem. We enjoyed the view and ordered, and just as our appetizer arrived, the table vacated and the waiter relocated us to the best table, overlooking the caldera! Breathtaking! So now on to the food. We ordered the ambrosia tart as the appetizer- heavenly. The tomatoes in greece are to die for!! All the fish is so fresh and deliciously prepared. Service was perfect.

Our hotel recommended this place (only restaurant where we could get a last minute reservation) and it was a huge disappointment. Ambiance ok, service good, food - awful. We started with a salad that was soggy and overloaded with a heavy but tasteless dressing. Our pasta with seafood tasted and smelled horribly fishy. Risotto was mediocre. We left 3/4 of our expensive meal on our plates and got gelato on the way home. There are so many amazing places for fine dining or cheap, delicious food in Santorini - and beautiful sunset views from lots of other restaurants. Definitely go elsewhere.

This is a restaurant overlooking the Santorini caldera. It is listed in the latest edition of Fodor's "Greek Islands."
Best choice for a romantic dinner on a lovely balcony with an amazing caldera view! I tried a delicious lamp and my wife a fish called peskandritsa, delicious too. Salad was OK but not enough and enjoyed assyrtiko wine! Generally, we spent two relaxing hours enjoying food, wine, the view and easy listening music and spent 120 ⬠(quite expensive)!
