This review covers two visits. Overall still a 5 star review but one visit was better than the others. Had dinner on Saturday night and the food was really lovely. Hearty, tasty and plentiful- just what you need after a day on the fells. Went back in for Sunday lunch on Sunday (obvs!) and given the standard of food from the night before it was a bit disappointing. Under-seasoned. The roast potatoes were literally whole potatoes so were too big to be really crispy and roasted. Bit disappointing but after going up skiddaw we were ravenous so we cleared plates anyway but perhaps a bit more care required on the Sunday food.Thank you for your 5 'star' review. So pleased you had such lovely meals with us on the Saturday...the chefs have seem you comments. They are a little disappointed, as I am, that we didn't quite hit the note on the Sunday. Some of the roast potatoes were left too large when roasting off We were short staffed this Sunday however that is not an excuse and your point has been taken on board. We do apologise. Thanks again and hope you will call in again next time on the fells.Michelle(owner)

We booked a table for our first night staying at Keswick Reach Lodges and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was fairly busy but our order was taken quickly. The food and drinks menu were extensive and there was lots of choice. We had a Cumberland sausage which came with lovely mashed potato and a tasty gravy. The lamb hotpot was really good and it came with a warm crusty bread roll. All of our food was well cooked and extra care was taken in the presentation. We enjoyed the food so much that we have booked a table for our last evening.Service was very good and the food was great value for money. We would recommend this place to eat and we will definitely return again Thank you for the feedback about your time at Copper Fells. The front of house staff always pride themselves on their customer service and enjoy hearing that guests have had a lovely evening making them want to return. The head chef always appreciates feedback on his menu on both the taste and variety of his menu, I will pass over your comments.Kindest Regards,Copper Fells Team.

Great food and friendly service. Booked a table after reading previous reviews and we were not disappointed. Although it was a quiet early mid-week booking and the restaurant was quiet the surroundings were relaxing and we were made to feel at ease and valued. Our food was excellent and cooked as requested, only downside they ran out of salmon.Well worth a visit.
The hotel takes great pride in the quality of the food served, the evening starts with aperitifs and canapes. Ingredients for the daily changing four course menu are sourced as locally as is possible, including beef and lamb from farms in the immediate vi
love visiting this place when up in the lakes, a traditional pub with great beers and good food. Massive carpark with good views, husband once stayed over in motorhome one night after a days walking, with their permission. In is unbelievable that you wouldn't know the correct pub that you stayed in - the hotel here has been closed for 2 years
