My wife and I visited Cold Spring New York to take in a hike and enjoy the bucolic setting of the town and escape Manhattan's bustle for an afternoon. We stopped by Barber and Brew after our hike to relax and try some of the local brews on tap. The mushroom pate was amazing, as was the pub cheese that was served with hard pretzels. I had a brown ale that was on tap and my wife had a refreshing hibiscus tea. There's a number of other items that looked great - the pork and duck terrine and the charcuterie plate in particular. The place has a great casual vibe with an upscale offering of drinks and appetizers - a great combo to enjoy an afternoon with friends.

Outstanding restaurant with great reputation in beautiful Cornwall NY. Restaurant is very clean with an outstanding menu. Service was excellent and food was the best.Escargot and Fried coconut shrimp appetizers were excellent. Liver and onions dinner was the best. Will definitely go back and highly recommend to others.

Dinner for family of four was $280 without wine but a cocktail each adult. Dinner was very well prepared and the service was good. Went there last Sunday with a party of 7. The staff and service wereâ EXCELLENT. The atmosphere was friendly and warm. I did see several small humans commonly referredâ to as children, however, their handlers had them under control so that wasn't an issue. Drinks arrived shortlyâ after ordering, the waiter had a complete and deep knowledge of their tap beers. The dishes were as followed, 1 Grilled Natural Hamburger on Sesame Seed Bun, 2 Buffalo Buttermilk Chicken, Creamy Blue Cheese & Cheddar focaccias, 2 Painterâs Lemon Chicken, 1 Fish & Chips and 1 Grilled Hanger Steak. Everyone was completely satisfiedâ with their orders. They arrived in a reasonable amount of time for the size of the tables order. Definitelyâ try the Butterscotch Pudding OUTSTANDING!!!... I couldn't finish it, and I'm an old dude that can eat, and eatâ and eat.
