Meson la Vina Food & Wine

There are not many options to have dinner in the city, as you can see that the first place is occupied by a street taco place. Well, I decided to give a try to this restaurant. I came out completely satisfied. Excellent service, wide selection of wines from their cellar. Just a hidden gem from the heat of Obregon.

Best Pizza in Town, the only place in Obregon that has Chicago Style Pizza, great Burgers, Wings, Boneless, Salads, finger food and Paninis with a cold beer in hand. Its a Two story Sports and Karaoke Bar, you can be indoors or outdoors, a great place to

So I went to Chicago's pizza while visiting Obregon and it was just okay. From the outside it looked like it was going to be great but once we got inside it was a different story. The Tap on the Keg was broken, they were out of most of their beers. The bar was sticky. The female bartender was nice but nothing else was really great about this place.

Santo Filete

I pass through Ciudad Obregon a few times per year, and this year is the first year I’ve seen Santo Filete. We had a few other favorites in town, but this was a great surprise.Their specialty is steaks, with grilled chicken, and seafood. I had the fillet mignon, which was tender, and perfectly-done. And the fillet was not what I expected. Instead of serving the steak in its typical form, they served an actual three-inch length of the tenderloin, wrapped in bacon. It was one of the best I’ve had. My wife’s seared tuna was just as good. The service was excellent. One nice touch was that when you ask for leftovers to go, they don’t bring them to your table while you’re having dessert, as is the custom in the US. They keep them by the door, and hand them to you on the way out…a nice touch. Ciudad Obregon is a convenient halfway stop on the way to Mazatlán… and Santo Filete will be a regular part of that visit from now on.
