Contemporary Caribbean Dining with international flair. Bogles Round House is a memorable Experience well worth uncovering.
... I had the worst meal (if you could call it that) that I've had in a 6-week trip in the Caribbean and I haven't been eating in upmarket places. Don't be fooled by the menu on the website which I thought looked fabulous - that, I was told, is only Friday and Saturday. The menu I was presented with had the choice of 4 ok-sounding starters and 4 mains: burgers, fish n chips, chicken & some pasta dish for veggies. I mean, how exciting is that? Not. I opted for chicken. I don't come to the other side of the world for food I can get on my doorstep: fish in batter (my local chippie does a good job). So not their local mahi mahi or lionfish - nope, none of that. So I go for chicken local style ... unimaginative but usually good, I think. How wrong can you get? Dry, tough n leathery. The chips were no better than 4 out of 10. I didn't order the dessert - by then I'd lost the will to live. Trapped inside an old stone roundhouse with a tree in the middle. Stylish maybe, and cosy for a British winter Sunday lunch. But on a perfect evening in the Caribbean with a to-die-for blood red sunset, there are only two tables outside, both of which were taken. I wanted to cry before I saw the menu, I wanted to howl after I saw it. And I only just made it back to where I'm staying in Tyrrel Bay (take my advice, go there!!) before my insides reacted in distress too.Iâm really sorry you were not happy just to be clear we do a break down menu on Wednesday which is on our website which I know you saw because you booked on line you did not book a outside seating,we donât have any pasta dishes on any of our menus we did not have any Mahi Mahi on and we certainly donât ever do lion fish if your food was not to your liking Iâm sorry about that you could have send it back or tell your waitress about it where on the menu did you see chicken local style

Having just returned from Carriacou this morning I thought it only fitting that I write this review. My nephew and I ate at the restaurant on Monday, we were served by the lovely Trevlyn who made us feel welcomed and tended to our every need. The drinks were ice cold as expected and again served with a smile. We opted for the smoked ribs and shrimp both came with a choice of rice or chips and salad. After eating we wanted to speak to the chef to thank her for serving such a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting. I would without doubt recommend the restaurant, I even met the owner days later and congratulated him on the service. My only recommendation would be a finger bowl to wipe my hands when eating the ribs, some might say you should use your cutlery but I prefer to get stuck in with my hands. I'll be back
