Small, intimate restaurant offering international food for both meat eaters and vegetarians, with regional wines at a great price. Dine in comfort, surrounded by history in a grand medieval house in the centre of Montolieu, the village of books and arts.
Simple but very well-cooked food at a reasonable price in a lovely setting, next to the historical Mason de Mallast.

the tapas choice is unique, unusual and great at the same time, service warm and prompt, the place seems busy at all hours, booking a table is advised, thoroughly enjoyed and recommend the experience

Such a pity.....been meaning to come here for years being recommended by friends. Finally made it but have very mixed views on it.Pluses: Old world charm, with rustic decor, so very cosy. Meat of very good quality and all cooked on the open wood fire gives great flavour. Wine list limited but relatively inexpensive.OK now the negatives: Service and welcome are average but not offensive. But the real negative is the menu and the cost which for a single course with wine came to 41 euros per person. The menu indicates that all dishes are served with a baked potato and vegetables....er no, it comes with a baked potato and a single mushroom! and not a vegetable in sight. The meat while well cooked is seriously over priced. Several of us had the 1kg cote de boeuf to share priced at 7Euros per 100 grammes or 70 euros for the steak. Bearing in mind most of that weight is bone and inedible it's well over priced. We've had larger serves in several places of the same cut of beef for 45 to 50 euros. Sorry but the steak while tasty still ended up leaving a bad taste !
