This place might not be for everyone, as the chef clearly is not prone to crowd pleasing, and the feel of the place is a tad lively. We had the seven course menu with wine. I thought all dishes were great, with some unexpected taste combinations. I especially liked that the chef favoured a lot of vegetarian dishes. The only dish I wasn’t entirely pleased with was the duck - the meat wasn’t as tender as duck usually is, it felt a bit dry. The waitress apologized for her English, but we had no trouble communicating, and I found her fumbling for words charming. The wines selected were a bit odd I would say, but definitely not bad. Interesting. As I said before, this is not a crowd pleasing place. They want you to try combinations that you might not find anywhere else.Overall a great food experience, and I don’t understand the complaints about the price in some reviews. I found it very good value for money.

This may have been the best meal we ever had. Comparatively, the price was reasonable, coming in around $110/person for six courses with wine pairings. The initial offering was a crispy ravioli with a watermelon and cantaloupe gazpacho, chased by a shot of passionfruit kiwi juice. We then had the shaved foie gras with fruit, which blew every foie gras dish we have had in France out of the water. Next was a tuna dish, served with candied curried tomatoes and a couscous side which mimicked fish roe.The mains were amazing too. The steak was served with a celery sauce, mushrooms, and one of the best potato croquettes we have ever had. There was also a unique beef fat croquette which almost resembled a slow cooked scallop. The pigeon entree was undoubtably the best squab plate we have ever ordered. The menu changes weekly based on what is in season and market-recommended, so you may not get to experience these same dishes. The only slight negatives were that the server was not overly polite, and the final cheese course could have contained much better ingredients. Overall, would definitely return if we ever come back to Brussels.Dear Adam,Many thanks for your feedback, very happy to read that you have enjoyed your visit with us! We are glad that you liked the fresh and seasonal products offered at The Restaurant. Hope to welcome you for another time !Kind regards,Pierre Balthazar

This is a lovely place to enjoy some good Lebanese food! Great presentation and reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and they will explain any dish to you if you ask. You can order takeaway or simple have lunch or dinner there. However if you book for dinner, downstairs the light is a little bright for my taste so we prefer upstairs but you will smell people smoking the Lebanese smoking pipe called Hookah as there is a lounge area. I suggest that you try this place, it's very close to the Grand Place!
