Reviews on Indian food in Osoyoos, British Columbia, Canada. Osoyoos (/ɒˈsuːjuːs/, historically /ˈsuːjuːs/) is the southern-most town in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia between Penticton and Omak. Near the border with Washington state, the town is also adjacent to the Indian Reserve of the Osoyoos Indian Band. The origin of the name Osoyoos was the word sẁiẁs (pronounced "soo-yoos") meaning "narrowing of the waters" in the local Okanagan language (Syilx'tsn). The "O-" prefix is not indigenous in origin and was attached by settler-promoters wanting to harmonize the name with other place names beginning with O in the Okanagan Country (Oliver, Omak, Oroville, Okanogan). There is one local newspaper, the Osoyoos Times.

Beautiful location with wonderful vegetarian choices! A large group can order family style and get a delicious selection! Lovely garden area with Bocce game to enjoy with children between courses! Wine suggestions paired beautifully with the meal. Closes at 8 each evening so dine early.

We tried Indian Flame without reading any reviews and were so impressed! The food was amazing! Delicious flavours, wonderful textures - we agreed it was probably the best Indian food we've ever eaten. We had the Vegetable Samosas, Kadhai Chicken, Lamb Korma, and coconut rice. Awesome food! I was also impressed by their local Okanagan wine selection. The service was super friendly, the place was very busy with eat-in and take-out customers, and location is convenient right on Main Street. The interior decor is simple, not fancy, but it's fine.We will definitely return to Indian Flame whenever we are in Osoyoos - highly recommended!
