Had a takeaway and it was the worse food ive ever eaten. Bland with no real Indian flare at all. The chicken was over cooked and the sauce was watery. No real Indian flavor at all. Cannot understand how people can write such rubbish as they have on their reviews. They must be easily pleased or never had a decent currie. Most certainly will not be eating from this place ever again. The customer satisfaction is the furthest thing in mind of this restaurant . Dear customer,I am very disappointed that you did not enjoy your takeaway with us. Food should never be bland and we always aim to provide flavoursome curries that we are known for. For you to quesion our customers reviews is very disrespectful, customer satisfaction is our number one priority! We always aim to satisfy our customers, please call us if food is not up to your standard, we are always happy to resolve any issues you find. To say customer satisfaction is the furthest thing from our mind is false, we would have been more than happy to talk to you about, when and what you ordered and would offer solutions to your problems. All that was needed was a phone call to us from you on the night you ordered. If you would like to talk about this further please call 01425 614202.RegardsRokalis

Visited Royal Spice whilst on holiday. Ordered Chicken Tikka Chilli & Garlic Masala, Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Balti. Used the online ordering portal which was very simple to use. Food was ready at the specified time. All of the dishes were really well made, plenty of meat in all of them. Kids declared the CTM the best theyâve ever had, Wife was really happy with the balti (and sheâs pretty hard to please) and my Chicken Tikka Chilli & Garlic was really good too. The shop is clean and the fact you can see through to the kitchen is a real unique plus. Would happily return and probably will before the holiday is done.

Due to a change in personal circumstances, we have for the time being opted for a takeaway if we want an 'indian'. The food as usual is up to their high standard, and the quantity you get could easily be spread over two meals unless you were a horse. It represents excellent value for the what is offered. Although I can eat the full monty, my wife opts for the starters as this is about as much as she can eat. Even so, the content is of a good size and more than adequate for the 'smaller apetite', you still won't leave the table feeling hungry. So far they have not taken up my suggestion.Downside, Best to order your takeaway meal well in advance as waiting times for the spur of the moment visits can be quite long, particularly if you go in early. (you have to wait for the ovens to come up to temperature) They use plastic containers which are semi opaque which makes identifying the dish quite hard. Like all indian food, many of the dishes are similar visually and there have been many times where we have engaged in 'food shuffling' before the dish that was ordered by each individual could be identified. I have suggested that the number of each dish that a person has chosen from the menu be put on the lid of the container. It would make identification so much easier.

We ordered a take away from here and were not dissapointed. The service was great and the staff very polite. We had chicken korma with coconut rice and chicken jalfreezi with pilau rice, both were excellent. We also had peshwari naan and onion bajee, both were excellent.

We have come here before when in the area, and under the old management it was average, with sometimes long waiting times and questionable customer service. However, recently it has changed hands, and the customer service is much better, with the waiters very polite and courteous. The decor is, although a little dated, more authentic than other restaurants, and the booths make a nice atmosphere. The mango chutney here has always been delicious and sweet, although be aware that a 1.50 charge is automatically added with poppadoms for the sided. On this occasion, we had a variety of vegetarian side dishes instead main courses. For side dishes, the portions were large and, although the wait was a little long, the food was delicious, the aloo gobi particularly so.
