Tucked away in a quiet area. Nicely decorated inside, run by a friendly husband and wife team. The food was interesting, combining Indian, Italian and Chinese. The sharing platter was a mixture of several cuisines, not really sure how spring rolls fit in. Puddings were all shop bought, not home made. Thank you for taking the time to review The Old Charm.We are happy you like the place, and the friendly atmosphere, we always aim to make it a welcoming place for people to relax and enjoy drinks, and food without all the fuss of a formal restaurant feel, as we are ultimately a Winebar.We are very impressed that you have quite clearly understood our concept, of offering a mixture of cuisines which is obviously noticeable in the platters we offer. We aim to provide something a little different in Naxxar. We also offer a small selection of Indian food, influenced by family recipes, and introduce spices into some of our Mediterranean dishes to add something slightly unusual but in a good way we hope.You also mentioned the puddings, you are right they are not made in-house, however they are carefully selected by us from a local bakery, and we can assure you that they are not sold in shops. We pre-booked dinner here for our family and upon turning up, they didnât have our booking (or so it seemed) even though we had an email confirmation. They had a table spare so all was fine. We sat down and after waiting 5 minutes, we asked for a menu. We waited another 15 minutes for someone to look at us to take our drink order or food and although loads of people walked past, no one came over. I kept trying to make eye contact and nothing. We just felt very unwelcome. It might be a small and busy restaurant but being made to feel like you want us there should go without saying. After a total of 20 minutes waiting (still without ordering a drink!) we decided to take our business elsewhere (and had a great meal locally with very friendly staff!). We went on a weekend. The staff reserved a parking for us, which was very convenient since it is nearly at the heart of St Julians. The staff was so informative and friendly. One of them also told us the way they eat what we ordered back in India.The food was amazing.The only -ve point was that in the room we were, there was no AC. 2 fans were plugged, however I think it will be an issue if one goes in the summer peak. However, the main dining room is equipped with the AC.Thanks for your positive comments. Glad you enjoyed our authetic Indian food, and the service we provide. I can confirm that the main restuarant area is eqquiped with AC's, while we have fans in the small room. Till now, we have decided to keep it this way as we do get clients that do not want to stay under the AC's and prefer fans. Always trying our best to keep all clients happy and satisfied!!

I took my Nan, wife and 2 year old and we were very impressed. I had the beef madras (the best Iâve ever had by far) the tikka masala was amazing and so was the korma. Our 2 year old enjoyed the chicken makhani as did I haha! The service is impeccable and very attentive, we felt very welcome even with a small child they were very professional. Couldnât recommend a better Indian restaurant. Thankyou!!

Spotted this place near our hotel, and being vegan knew it would be a good place to eat, and it really was excellent food and all very fresh,we ate there twice on our 10 day visit all the staff were lovely and very helpful super clean restaurant would happily eat there again and will go again on another trip to Malta
