Woodbine is a charming, award winning, Guest House located in the village of Uig overlooking the stunning Uig bay on the Trotternish peninsula of the Isle of Skye. Woodbine House offers 5 en-suite bedrooms with TV, coffee & tea making facilities and free WiFi.
The host was most welcoming when we arrived. Prior to our arrival they had already emailed details of the best restaurants nearby for evening meals and with their recommendations we pre booked which was essential. The accommodation was spotless with top quality bedding, bathroom linen and facilities. We had a se facing room which was excellent. The hosts provided special treats for my wife’s gluten free needs, this was a very nice touch. The breakfast was excellent, I had the Scottish breakfast and my wife a choice of gluten free options. The fresh fruit salad was fresh and better than most restaurants. We would recommend this guest house to anyone who want a quality clean guest house in a good location. We had the sea view room and paid extra which was worth it to us, the other rooms we saw also looked great,

Uig Lodge was originally built in the grounds of the Uig Hotel on the site of the stables in 1970 and the first floor was added in 1974. The interior was completely refurbished in 2016 and the rooms enjoy spectacular views of Uig bay. The daily ferry service to both Harris and North Uist leaves from the bay. The ferry terminal is just three minutes’ drive from the Uig Lodge. There are opportunities for sightseeing, watching wildlife, walking, fishing or just taking it easy in a corner of Scotland where life seems to move at an easier pace! It is little known that during summer months the Ascrib Isles in Uig bay becomes home to hundreds of puffins. Taking a trip to see them will often include close encounters with whales, dolphins and even the mighty basking shark.
A really super hotel in a picturesque location. An excellent restaurant with very knowledge helpful staff. Delighted to find very clean, well appointed rooms with beautiful views. Really lovely, I can recommend this completely.

Luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in Uig on the Isle of Skye with superking size beds, deluxe ensuites with walk-in rain showers, panoramic seaviews and outdoor hot tub.
Just an amazing experience from start to finish. Rooms are generous and luxuriously decorated. Felt more like staying in a five star boutique hotel than a bnb. Vicki ran everything with precision and a keen attention to detail. You can she she genuinely loves what she does and it shines through. Breakfast was just incredible, a real treat with everything as fresh as could be. The freshly baked cakes every day were a brilliant touch. Little things like a fridge in the room for cooling drinks, the excellent selection of teas and coffees and glassware plus robes for using the hot tub. She’s thought about all the little things that help make this a special place to visit. Thanks again!

Our home is located right next to the water in Uig bay and enjoys wonderful views of both wildlife and the coming and going of the boats. If you are lucky you may spot the otters that fish just in front of the house or maybe even catch a glimpse of the northern lights. We have 2 letting rooms, they are available individually or together if you need a little more space or fancy a bit more privacy. There is also a lounge just for our guests, this has plenty of space to relax as well as a large screen TV with satellite. Both rooms are in an annexe which is closed off from the main house offering a degree of privacy not normally available in a B&B, of course if you need anything we are always close by.
What can I say, the accommodation is lovely, the views are stunning and the owners treat you like you’ve been going for years. We stayed in the twin room which is finished to a high standard and loved the added bonus of a communal sitting room which is great when you’ve been hotel hopping for a few days and having to sit on beds ! Billy (the owner) called us ahead of check in to offer a dinner booking in the restaurant of his hotel (which is where breakfast is served) and saved us looking around on our first night. On our second night he called to let us know there was an Aurora display happening, it was amazing !
