Reviewed By SingbeWe booked this online, and based on previous reviews, and were not disappointed. A lovely mountain setting overlooking Lake Maggiore. The accommodation had all we required - fridge, cooker, all kitchen utensils, and a safe. There was also a large private balcony with table and chairs and loungers. The only thing missing on our visit was air conditioning, and it would have been beneficial on a couple of particularly hot nights. Breakfast included a wide and ample selection of fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, and yogurts, well presented, and served in the 'Elios bar' immediately adjacent to the apartments. The Bar also served food and drinks during the day and in the evenings, and we found the owner Dario, and all the staff, very friendly and helpful. We also ate at Ristorante Usignolo, which is situated 5 minutes further down the mountain, and is an excellent, and very popular and busy restaurant. As identified in other reviews, this accommodation is up the mountain via a fairly long winding road, which is narrow in parts, but with careful driving and respect for other road users, we did not find this too much of an issue. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return.

Quiet, friendly, personal service, excellent value
Reviewed By Rockhunter49We stayed here for four nights. It's a 10 minute drive and 300m up from lake Maggiore, but worth it. The room was clean and large, bathroom had a bath, and the first floor rooms have balconies. Excellent and varied continental breakfast. Viggiona is a small village with a church and one shop, excellent to explore. The owner gave us lots of advice on places to visit. Recommended.
