We had a lovely stay at the White Cottage B&B. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, and catered to every need. We stayed in the family suite which was very spacious, beautifully decorated and spotless. The breakfast was also delicious with a large selection of food and home made jams. If we are ever back in the area we will stay again! Thank you so much.

Basic hotel over Chinese. Rooms basic but clean. No toilet in room. Breakfast not included for £66. Paid £7.50 each and nothing special. Cheap sausage. Man was friendly, Chinese lady quite abrupt no please or thank you. Would not stay again

This is our second stay with Chris and Jonathan (the first being pre-Covid) and it was a delight to return to the Elm Tree. We stayed again in the Horace and Herbert room and can happily report that the king size bed is just as super comfy with tea and coffee (including Tassimo pod machine) provided and lovely toiletries. The breakfast remains as good as ever, I remembered the scrambled eggs and salmon as being exceptional and still is. The second morning I had the yogurt followed by the cooked breakfast and again, both delicious. The area is stunning with beautiful walks along the coastal path and historic market towns to explore including Louth, Horncastle, and Alford. Highly recommended!

Right in the centre of Spilsby, easy relaxed atmosphere with a friendly bar and beautiful hotel rooms.
First thing which really is off putting for any paying customer is staff just outside the front door smoking. It just doesn’t really get better from there. We walked in and there were people at the bar and a couple eating breakfast at a table. There was another table over which had obviously not had anyone at it for a while and nothing had been cleared, it just comes across as very unprofessional when staff are outside smoking when tables should be cleared. We ordered our drinks and we asked about lemon drizzle cake and chocolate cake which were on the menu but were told it was sold out. For a cafe/pub which isn’t busy and not having cakes is very poor. We sat down at the mish mash of tables and chairs which can be described as a random assortment of tables and chairs. The tray which they gave us didn’t look like it had been cleaned all week. Possibly the worst thing was the language between the 2 female staff members and 2 gentlemen at the bar as disgusting. There was some very poor language between them which isn’t good to hear when you have a child with you. Definitely will not be returning in a hurry. Such a shame such a large pub/hotel has been transformed into a poor cafe.
