The staff was accommodating and check in-out went smoothly. Convenient to our route. Did not have a reservation but that was no problem. Recommend this hotel if passing through.

Reviewed By marilyne336Schulenburg TX is a very small Texas town with not many attractions but it has our grandkids. We stayed a week in the America's best value inn. They were the only hotel in the area that had an ADA room and we felt lucky to get it. We actually extended our stay 2 more days. The room was clean, nice, roomy. The hotel staff were so friendly and very helpful. Its located close to the highway, the gas station and a nice restaurant and souvenirs shop. The lobby had coffee every morning which was nice. I would definitely stay here again. Oh, I almost forgot to say that the bed pillows here are the best.

Horrible customer service and crappy room

The lady at the front desk said she did not have record of it and the price I paid did not include the fee for our two kids. She ended up charging me full price for the room again - even after I showed her my info from Expedia. They will not return calls to refund me now that both charges have cleared. The room was just nasty. The handicap rail in the bathtub was hanging off the wall and a hazard. A man that works for the hotel came into our room while we had the do not disturb sign out on the door. Extremely disappointed.

Very Unpleasant Experience
Reviewed By CMkittiesWe were moving my 93 year old mother from AZ to LA at the end of February when we stopped at this hotel and rented 2 rooms. TV did not work in Mother’s room and desk clerk would not help-said it was not his job and when I was unable to fix it following his instructions rolled his eyes and said “seriously”. Was moved to new room where the heater did not work at all. Was moved back to the original room where the TV was now working, but when we returned from dinner the volume could not be adjusted so Mother could hear it. Was moved to the only remaining room where the TV worked but the channel could not be changed. Decided to stay as it was 9:30 on a Sunday night and we were too exhausted to search for another hotel. Everything in the 2nd room worked but the bathroom was in very poor condition, with mildew, rust and stains in the tub, toilet paper holder pulling away from the wall, loose toilet seat and holes in the wall. Requested a price adjustment for one room when we checked out and was told we had to contact the hotel chain’s central office. After 2-month wait was told by this office that the hotel manager had refused to give us any credit and that there was no other recourse. Customer service is clearly not a priority at this hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE!
