Delightful Overnighter
Reviewed By Beamer23This hotel was used as an overnighter on a journey and as result was way above expectations. Being quite new of course helped as all the facilities are modern and also quite spacious. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, although being in the country and off the beaten track, don't all speak much English. However, this should probably not be expected. The restaurant attached to the hotel is pretty decent and serves a very good breakfast and a very nice dinner. A small negative is that the hotel has no air-conditioning and therefore it was quite uncomfortable in the extreme temperatures we experienced in France at the time. You have to sleep with the windows open and with the hotel being across the road from the main church, the clock bells go off every half hour and for some reason during the night, there are double bells every time.

Great setting and fantastic team
Reviewed By gillianm220We stayed in a mobile home for one week. The mobile home was almost new, spotless and very well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable. There was a huge amount of space around us. The setting is great, just a short walk from the lake, which has swimming, a pool (extra cost), pedalos, paddle boards, two clean grassy beach areas and cafes. There is also a covered, heated pool on the campsite. Within walking distance is a Go Ape style parcours and the pretty village of St Remy with the basic shops that you need and some nice restaurants. The campsite is very well run, very family friendly but would also suit couples as the team makes an effort to do activities for everyone. The animation team was great, activities were available but not pushed on you, so you could just come and enjoy the lovely setting and discover the area. There is a lot to discover in the local area and we would definitely come back. Note for English people - blankets and pillows are supplied and you can rent bedsheets, but only blankets are included not duvets.

Ce jour là nous sommes arrivés en fin de service et pourtant on nous a accueilli chaleureusement en s'excusant 100 fois qu'il n'y avait plus ceci et cela. C'est un restaurant d'habitués cela se sent de suite, et ils ont raison. Le plat du jour et les omelettes étaient savoureux. Le cuisinier adorable. Notre hôtesse nous a donné plein de gentils conseils et grâce à elle nous avons désormais de bons couteaux! Merci pour ce repas en toute simplicité.
