Small campsite of 22 places with shadow. Locates in the north of Gard, close to Ardèche and Lozère, nice country for lovers of wildlife, monuments and sport. 9 mobil-homes, 2 bungalows, swimming pool (from june to september), restaurant, fishing, playground...
We arrived at this campsite at almost exactly the time predicted and were greeted by a note on the door telling us our property number and the key was in the door. The campsite is small and we could not get immediate access to our parking as the way was blocked by people parked across the access. When we got there our hearts sank, the bungalow as it was described was more like a chalet and in desperate need of re-painting and generally freshening up. Inside the kitchen was absolutely tiny and the small shower and toilet room went straight off this area. The bedrooms were of more average size the pluses were the decking and the side area with a separate freezer. The pool is only open until the end of August and is also used by the locals which made it noisy when open, and I could not see why the pool could not be open when the weather allowed after this time as it was still operating. When we did eventually meet Stefan we found him very friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. When leaving we felt that he was very thorough in checking everything was ok considering how lax everything was on arrival. Wifi was very good which was a bonus as no phone coverage. The area is a great place for exploring but about the only thing in the village is a very good baker.
