Brown’s Hotel in Laugharne is one of the world’s iconic literary addresses due to its association with legendary Welsh poet and writer, Dylan Thomas. As well as the iconic bar it has 14 luxurious bedrooms, and the Penderyn Restaurant with a recently added additional vegan menu - which opened to rave reviews in July 2018. Browns Hotel, built in 1752, has always been the social hub of the township of Laugharne which Dylan described in 1934 as, ‘…the strangest town in Wales.’ As well as Dylan many other luminaries have walked up the three stone steps including Mick Jagger, Pierce Brosnan, Patti Smith, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor and President Carter. On its re-opening in 2012, Brown’s Hotel was given a 'cool factor' of 9/10 by The Times and has once attracted excellent reviews in publications like Tatler, the New York Times and the Telegraph. Browns Hotel is part of a family of companies that includes Penderyn Distillery.
We stopped by Browns after a weekend at the Hay literature festival. The room was beautiful. Modern and contemporary, but cosy. Dinner was exceptional. With an impressive offering of steaks we went for the rib eye and flat iron; both were beautifully cooked. And to top if off the service was exceptional. Rob went out of his way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Kind, knowledgeable and very welcoming. We're going back this weekend.

Pods @ Broadway are 10 glamping pods set in the heart of the West Wales countryside near Laugharne. Each pod sleeps up to 4 people and are self contained and includes an en-suite bathroom and kitchen facilities. Each pod also have a decking area with seating and a bbq and 2 of our pods also have the added luxury of a private hot tub. Our pods are sold on a self catering basis however breakfast can be purchased for an additional cost from Broadway Country House which is onsite
Nice little cabin for one or two (defo not four) lovely and clean. Tiny fridge so not good for a family. Didnt have a hot tub but was still £130 a night which was not warranted. tiny bit of decking overlooked by everyone else (9 pods) and quite a bit of noise from other pods close by. Only one worth renting would be the one at the top of the site on the right hand side so you get sun all day, are a bit further from others and noone should walk past your area. Very nice food at main house. Good parking

Jacky is the most welcoming host. She is honest and funny and fab. The room was comfortable with everything we needed. The wifi has been extended so we now have good reception in our bedroom. The breakfasts were fresh and plentiful. This is a working stables. If you want a sanitised business hotel, perhaps this place is not for you. But we like staying in real places with real people. It's an old building with its accompanying creaks. The cats and dogs (outside) like some affection and the horses look out their stable windows when you approach. The building is down a very quiet lane, so the only disturbance you might hear are the lambs baaing in the field opposite. I slept really well at Hills Farm, and look forward to staying there again.

We have closed this business down as a B and B - it is now a spacious, airy, seaside town bar with a wide selection of beer, spirits and wine and serving good quality pub food, we have another trip advisor page for this - thank you.
Went in for tea with 5 small dogs. They found us a quiet place to sit and couldn’t have looked after us better. Literally nothing was too much trouble and the service provided was with a smile and great manners. The food was of great quality.
