Very friendly staff met me and accommodated my every request - early check-in, printing, etc. The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from the town centre and I would stay again. Wifi was good and private parking provided. I stayed with my dog and there was no trouble at all. Overall a really nice experience.

Welcome in the BeaujolaisIn the heart of the «Crus du Beaujolais», the Grappe Fleurie campsite offers you the local flavours and thedelicious regional wines.Between the «Green Beaujolais» and the «Saône’s valley», Fleurie’s vineyards will let you marvellous souvenirs :unforgetable panoramas, hiking and green tracks, cellars...By foot, by bike or on horse back, everybody willenjoy the place thanks to the numerous new tracks !You will be near some of the most beautifull villages in France, near the first «wine’s museum» in the area, nearVillefranche-sur-Saône and Lyon, french capital of the gastronomy.
We stayed for 3 nights in a tent/bungalow which is half tent and half cabin. There was room for 4 though the bedrooms were quite small so would be a squeeze for 4. That said the tented area was a good size with cooking facilities. We liked the site - receptionists friendly and helpful with decent amenities- tennis, table tennis, swimming plus a games room. The pizza from the pizza van was good straightforward stiff and they also sell cold drinks. Best of all is wine tasting 2 nights a week and you're literally right in the middle of vineyards so if you like wine it's a great site. I have read the other reviews- i thought our toilet block was fine - showers were decent and reasonably clean. The only minus point was 5 toilets only (they had closed the gents bit for repairs) which meant at times they could get busy or smelly or out of toilet roll. But generally they were in reasonable condition although perhaps needing a little more attention because of part being closed. The washing up space was big though. The individual sites were well spaced out and it seemed a good place for families with entertainment and small play area available. It certainly didn't feel cramped and had visitors from France, UK Holland and Germany. The receptionists spoke English well enough though appreciated (I think) our slightly iffy attempts at French.. One thing to be aware of is that in the village a lot of stuff is closed Sundays and Mondays including the small shop which is at risk of closing down altogether. This means that if you arrive on Sunday or Monday make sure you are stocked up as the camp reception only does a breakfast bread order and doesn't have many supplies. Tourist information (and bike hire) in the village is open Sunday Morning in high season but closed Monday and Tuesday. There is bike hire in the village of Beaujeau every day in High season but its about 12k away. Overall a very pleasant place - if you like your wine you are in for a treat and we loved the local walks through the vineyards. Cycling was good too with routes round the villages. We would go back and have recommended it to friends

We booked to stay in this chateau on the way down to the South if France, as it looked great in the photos. The first sight of the hotel was a light-box sign on their outer walls which was broken and hanging at an odd angle. We found the dreary entrance to the grounds and drove up to the Château, which had definitely seen better days. There was not a single soul in sight. We waited around the front a few minutes as it was not clear which door was the entrance and then decided to go in. The door creaked just like a door in a horror movie. The entire place was deserted. The only welcome was a sign that stated that they do not take credit cards - a bit strange in this day and age. We could hear distant voices and went to investigate the first floor. It just felt so odd and spooky that we just left. On the way out a woman - presumably the proprietor- flagged us down and said that her husband was somewhere in the house repairing the toilet, and that we could just go into the town to get cash. Not the warmest welcome we have ever received. Glad we got out of there.
