We reserved here at the recommendation of Claire of Vieux Telegraphe winery. Greeted by the lovely owner and host Stephanie, this B&B offers a pleasant and charming stay in the heart of southern France's wine country and is within a short drive from Auvignon and Orange. It was difficult to navigate to the B&B with the main avenue being blocked during construction. The private room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The room shares a quaint living area with other guests. Wi-fi is both free and the connection was very good. Breakfast was included in the 80 Euro off season one nite price. While there, go to the wine museum in the village of Chateauneff du Pape and also explore the castle. You get a very informative guided tour of this wine region and a free tasting. We would stay here again.

this magnificent provencal mas of 1793, totally renovated in 2009 will welcome our guests in three beautiful rooms. In the middle of the “chateauneuf-du-pape” domain such as beaucastel, mont redon, berthet rayne, this mas is a wonderful location to start your visits in provence. you will enjoy our peace of mind mediterranean garden when returning from your walks.
The setting is quasi-idyllic amongst the vineyards and facing the countryside, right next to the Charming village of Courthézon. A big renovated host house, where you are offered 1 room or a duplex suite. They accept animals, and I can say that my dog felt immediately well, with so much space to run around. I took the room, but was upgraded to the suite upon arrival. It is a very big two-story room, living room with TV on the ground floor, bedroom open on the bathroom on the first floor. All is is spick and span. The two only negative points I could find were the bed, too hard for my taste and the adjacent road, but I must admit that you do not get disturbed during the night. Finally, I can only praise the land Lady, Mrs. Morizet, absolutely charming, and she offers a great breakfast at a time of your choosing. All in all a perfect place to spend the night if you are going South or on a wine tour.

The lady that works there cancelled our booking because we were late (trouble with car hire in Antibes) and when we arrived she said she was at dinner with her family, wouldn't be back until after 10pm and I had to go find something to do for 2 hours! You dont actually sleep inside the "chateau", you sleep in the old barn which she doesnt clean/empty/change towels/make beds. When I told the son that the fridge wasnt working he just shrugged his shoulders. She also portion controls breakfast - one chocolate croissant, one slice of cheese, one yogurt, one juice and one tea or coffee. She tried to charge us extra for the entire booking (she claims her husband "accidentally cancelled" the original booking so I had no confirmation on my account any longer) so I had to contact booking.com to resolve the issue as she speaks no english. They resolved the issue (she "accidentaly charged us extra") but since I couldn't see the booking any longer I didnt know she only accepts cash payments so instead of going on my Lavendar tour on my last day that I had booked with my mum, I was driving around looking for multiple cash points (300 euro max per card per day in France). She only takes cash, you have no confirmation or proof of payment, but also charges you country taxes... She holds your passport the entire time until you pay, doesn't just take a photocopy.
