Gentle trade winds and dramatic Caribbean vistas set the stage for a visit to Golden Rock Inn. A former sugar estate dating back to the early 1800's, the property has been thoughtfully restored through the eyes of New York artists Helen and Brice Marden. Set on 100 acres stretching up the slopes of Nevis Peak, this boutique property has eleven guest rooms and private cottages, including the unique Sugar Mill Suite. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens designed by the owners with Miami landscape architect Raymond Jungles, the inn is an escape embraced with birds' songs and the rustling of bamboo. Guest rooms have either king or twin beds, which can be joined together to create a king. The unique Sugar Mill Suite has an oversized king bed upstairs, with full bath, and 2 twins downstairs with full bath. This accomodation is suitable for 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
We had dinner here and it was great. Spiny lobster and rack of lamb. Food was amazing and service was great as well. On a different day, we stopped here to tour and the grounds are amazing. Even if you don't eat, you have to stop by to see this. Just great little areas to read, drink, relax, etc.

The room price is beyond pricey for what you get. However, the expertise is priceless. I received the best massage from Mohanie. The Dune restaurant food was good. The staff is wonderful and really made our anniversary special. They have a private beach for you to enjoy with beach service. Mango was not opened and I heard it had good local food

Located directly on the beach with wonderful views of St. Kitts and Mount Nevis. The property includes several pools and wonderful tropical gardens, as well as an excellent beachfront restaurant and bar.
We ate at their restaurant, the Yachtsman’s Club. Maybe the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. Great attentive service. It is a beautiful resort. Lots of gardens and a beautiful meandering pool in the center. Beautiful beach. Luxury resort. $$$$$

The Hermitage is a small plantation inn with an excellent reputation for its charm and warm, West Indian hospitality. The guest rooms are like gingerbread cottages and are styled after the old Planter’s house with a tradition of elegant West Indian style, antiques, mahogany four poster canopy beds, and private verandahs, with swaying hammocks, in an orchard like setting of mango trees and tropical plants. The Hermitage offers tranquility and serenity in its peaceful environment.
This is the second time I have been back to The Hermitage in three years and would have been back sooner if not for Covid restrictions. It is my favorite place to stay on my favorite Island in the Caribbean. It is a uniquely authentic Caribbean experience located in the cool hills of Gingerland. I actually came here and fell in love with it for the first time 30 years ago. The history, decor, animals, and the well- manicured grounds are simply lovely. The food is fresh and well-prepared using meats, produce and herbs grown on the property. The breakfasts -included in the room price -are swoon- worthy! Fresh juices, homemade yogurt, homemade syrup, scrumptious made from scratch pumpkin pancakes, coconut French toast as well as eggs prepared to your liking are so delicious they are enjoyed by guests and locals alike. The best part of the Hermitage is the staff. Each and every staff member makes an extra effort to make one feel warm and welcomed. The lovely Lupinacci family ( owners) are never to busy for the hundreds of questions from their guests and visitors. Cardiler at the reception desk is the consummate "go-to" concierge and knows the inside scoop for the entire island! For me, its like coming home. It's one of the few places in the world I will keep returning to.
