B&B Chateau in the Loire Valley. See the famous Loire Chateaux, discover the Loire, relax at the B&B, or more all from chateau La Mothaye in Brion, Loire valley, France. Chambre d'Hotes La Mothaye is an early 19th-century chateau which has been sympathetically restored and is now a beautiful Bed & Breakfast. It is a family-run business offering a superb venue for family holidays, a romantic getaway for two or a golfing holiday.
We are a family with 3 children. Two of them are very young ones. Chateau La Mothaye has been THE most ideal place for us to explore Loire Valley. When kids had enough of castles they would head straight to the lovely pool after breakfast or out from car directly. All great things had been said - and they are all true - about the chateau and Erik and Rochelle's warm hospitality - the grandeur, the idyllic setting, yet easy access to large supermarkets... My personal favourite is the children play area - trampoline, swings, slides etc are very close to the car park - so kids are entertaining themselves when daddy mummy are preparing GPS or bicycles. There are some great chateaux worth a visit - Angers, Saumur, Villandry, Montsoreau etc all within an hour's drive.

Le Logis du Pressoir offers self-catering cottages/gites and Bed and Breakfast in a former wine pressing domain, set in over five acres of secluded, wooded grounds in the Loire-Anjou-Touraine National Park (Unesco World Heritage Site). Many of the Loire Valley's most historic chateaux towns, Angers, Saumur, Chinon and Tours, are within easy reach, as is the TGV high speed train and motorway links to Paris, the Atlantic coast and the South of France. Le Logis is the ideal retreat, offering a haven of tranquillity in a delightful setting. Great care has been taken frontapgequote in the renovation of this listed property to preserve its unique features and charm whilst also providing guests with every comfort and high quality modern amenities. The superb heated swimming pool offers the perfect way to unwind, whilst the more sporty can enjoy table tennis, football and boules on site, as well as excellent walking, cycling, horse-riding and golfing in the surrounding countryside. Guest holiday highlights include the daily deliveries of croissants and breads from the local boulangerie, the scenic stroll to the village restaurant and short drive to the thriving market town of Beaufort en Vallee for its weekly market and boutiques.
A long awaited holiday! Booked this over 2 years ago, but due to covid could not attend. Eventually made it this year. Well worth the wait. Lisa and Mark make you feel so relaxed and could not be more helpful. Gites are spotless with all the amenities you require inc Sky tv. Gardens are amazing. There is plenty to do in the area, zoo, zip wire, rose garden. This area is not a touristy area, so English not widely spoken, but if you make a attempt a French it is appreciated. Summary: We are going back !!

Self catering Gites and Bed & Breakfast with swimming pool near the Chateaux of the Loire Your French hosts, Gilles and Patricia welcome you to their family home in the heart of the Natural Park of Loire-Anjou-Touraine, just a few miles from the river Loire, classified World Heritage by UNESCO. Set in the midst of natural forest and lakes, their charming 16th century house is built entirely of the local white stone 'Tuffeau' and retains many of its original features. This location in Anjou is an ideal place from which to discover the fantastic nature and culture of the area; the forests, the vineyards and of course, the chateaux of the Loire valley Their are four bedrooms available, all of which have been renovated by Gilles an Patricia to a very high standard, using traditional materials of the Anjou region such as white Tuffeau stone, natural hemp, slate and tiles (tomettes) from the village of Les Rairies. Patricia has decorated each room carefully, creating a typical French ambience with painted furniture and antiques. The rooms are all on the ground floor, which has its own entrance and garden lounge. The kitchen is at your disposal if you want to prepare your own meals.
We have stayed two times at this lovely and peaceful gite. The owners (Gilles and Patricia) are very kind and friendly and can give you lots of good advice for visiting in the region, especially by bike, and also good restaurant recommendations. The breakfast is delicious!! Cheese, yogurts, cereal, and breads, and delicious home-made jams and pastries!! The pool is very relaxing. The gite is an historic, old building, but the rooms are very comfortable and cozy, while retaining an old-world charm. Our room had its own private garden area to relax and have an apero. This gite is a perfect place for a romantic getaway weekend!! Note that you will need a car to arrive here and to eat out at local restaurants, but there are so many lovely sites to visit nearby (the gite is about 30 minutes from both Angers and Tours). You also have access to a kitchen, if you prefer to eat at the gite and not go to a restaurant. We will visit again!!
