Braemar Youth Hostel is an impressive former shooting lodge standing within extensive grounds in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Braemar Youth Hostel offers a mix of traditional interiors and modern furnishings with many homely touches such as big comfy sofas, a large self-catering kitchen and dining room. The youth hostel also provides a good range of rooms including many private and family rooms. A popular choice with families, groups and outdoor enthusiasts looking for budget accommodation. Wi-Fi during your stay: We do our best to deliver a free Wi-Fi service but apologise that connectivity, particularly in our rural locations, can be intermittent due to the level of our current broadband provision along with high usage when the youth hostel is busy. Please be assured we are endeavouring to improve where we can. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Reviewed By kenservissWe stayed here after attending the Ballater Highland Games. The building is wonderful, the staff friendly, the kitchen big and bright and the rooms clean and comfortable. The location is perfect ,only a short walk into town , and has nature trails nearby.

Reviewed By jeans659What an amazing experience From beginning to end we were delighted with the attention to detail the friendly staff and the fantastic content of this quirky world class hotel. It you love art there is so much to take in and an Art Tour is provided for guests . Original Picassos and Bellanys hang on the walls along with some great installation art If you are a whiskey lover then the dedicated whiskey bar is for you The cocktail lounge serves wonderful unique drinks and the food is amazing We will be back

Because of Covid there is only 1 room available, either the double or the twin, max persons 2. The bathroom therefore is private. There is a private guest lounge also where you can enjoy complimentary tea/coffee, t.v and the WIFI is free Breakfast is the full Scottish experience or if you are vegetarian or vegan you can let me know. I am listed on Air bnb and booking.com

Reviewed By Tom PStayed four nights whilst doing some serious walking. Accommodation great, warm, welcoming and good breakfasts. Moor field nearby has great beer and meals. Only downside is rooms aren’t en suite but I knew that prior to booking
