Reviewed By 626ShelleyPSituated overlooking the ancient covered market place this hotel is perfect for visiting various chateaux in the Loire. For a 2 star hotel it offers very spacious rooms with all the extras you would expect from a higher rating: Extra pillows,free WiFi, a desk and chair, bath and a large free car park. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there is a very good one-Chez Jaques just across the road. The breakfast was good and the prices reasonable. A very friendly welcome and lovely staff.

Reviewed By zuziniRoom was kind of dirty, they do not wipe the floor for quite some time, spider nets everywhere, towels were ripped off. This hotel is placed about 10 km away from the Chambord castle which is very convenient. We got a nice apartment with a little kitchen that had a fridge, toaster, coffee maker, etc but we didn't have the time to use it as we only stayed for 2 days. Breakfast was ok, with ham and cheese, cereals, yogurt, coffee, milk, croissants and pancakes. Just 2 minutes walk there is a French restaurant opened just for lunch and dinner. Also, close by there is a chocolate artisan factory.

It is pleasantly positioned on the very edge of Les Braciueux which has a couple of traiteurs (we used La Solognote and got some delicious food there), boulangeries and a decent Carrefour Express. Also ATMs. There is a Choco Bar very close by. The site is conveniently placed for Château de Chambord and Château de Villesavin, both within easy cycling distance. And not far from other châteaux, as the name suggests. We stayed for a weekend in October, so perhaps did not see the site at its best. The covered swimming pool was open but there was nowhere to change and no WC close by. Only one of the three sanitary blocks was open and in that only 5 WCs were operational; not enough even for an October weekend. The sanitary block is a wooden building partitioned, by head height partitions, into WCs, showers, dish washing etc. I suppose they are no better or worse than most sanitary blocks in France but I did not find it very private. It was all a bit smelly and cold. I found it brutal to shower there. Having said all of that, we would return!

Amazing little find
Reviewed By GeorgiesadventuresThis little hotel was a welcome find, we had one of the little outside cottages and it was just gorgeous, the cottage had everything we needed including a small kitichen with one hob, kettle, microwave and fridge, crockery and so on. The hostess could not have been any more accommodating, including letting us leave our car there on the day we checked out so we could explore on our bikes ( great location for bike riding to the chateaus) The parking is private and secure in their court yard, it’s also free and offers complete piece of mind knowing the car was safe. This hotels location is great, there is a bar/tabac right next door and you’re within a 2 minute walk to some seriously good restaurants. We will 100% revisit this hotel:-) id go as far to say this has been the best place we have stayed in France. And before I forget, the cats are really cute and love a cuddle :-)

Dichtbij Chateau Chambord
Reviewed By raymondmechelenDe "Bebloemde Fiets" was nergens te bespeuren. Een klein rijhuis werd opgedeeld in 2 eerder elementair ingerichte appartementjes. De gemeenschappelijke ingang ligt achterin en loopt over een klein ommuurd koertje bedekt met steenslag waar alleen een tafel en enkele houten stoelen staan. De slaapkamer grenst aan de straatkant. Positief is dat je wagen bij de woning kan geparkeerd worden. Op Booking.com geeft men hier een 9.2 wat veel te hoog is. Een 7 à 7,5 zou juister zijn.
