Jacob's Ladder featured in a dream in the Bible when Jacob escaped his vengeful brother Esau. In Perth, Jacob's Ladder is a long straircase that climbs from the Swan River foreshore to Mount Eliza, from whence one can get an expansivfe view over the Swan River. Altthough it looks like a long staircase, anyone of average ffitness can make the climb as long as sthey take it easily. Climbing Jacob's Ladder that "Perth people" do at least once in their lifetime.
