This was epic! Was fun going to the food market to chose your veg and see the locals. Be aware the hosts buy your spices and you are brought in to buy your own from the shop! The cooking and prep take a while but it's great to see and I loved seeing how coconut is used in so many different ways The wait was worth it as the food was one of the best meals I had. Not sure if left overs were needed for friends / family but I ate the lot. The okra curry was my favourite. You need to take notes of all the ingredients on the go, keeps you on your toes. Also it's great value , 3-4 hrs and a great meal.

Very nice and religious place with beautiful views. I recommend a walk along the gallery of the pagoda, soaking up the atmosphere, of course, bare feet. Negative are only local residents who want a small contribution even for greeting. I recommend a visit.

A holistic outdoor retreat space for Yoga, Meditation, Bodywork, Arts and Creativity.
I visited Sri Yoga Shala a couple of times during a recent trip to Galle and it was a lovely experience. As a complete beginner at yoga, I was heartened by the instructor Laurence explaining clearly what to do, how to do it and she gave the harder options for those that were up to it. She also made adjustments so that we were doing everything correctly .... this is an instructor who cares about her practice! The studio is set in jungle and rice paddy and classes are done accompanied with the sounds of birds and monkeys in the trees. The facilities are great and after class you can relax by the pool and enjoy drinks or a meal at the cafe. The rice and curry is excellent and I rate it as one of the most memorable meals on my last trip! Highly recommend that you stay on after class and enjoy the facilities. It's so beautiful :)
