Eucumbene Trout Farm has a Cafe, Farm Tours and Fishing Experiences. The farm is a working trout farm also with Highland cattle and Alpacas. They have a privately stocked Stony lake for fishing with fly rod or rod to fish for your trout. Should you not be successful then you are welcome to advance your luck in the sure catch pond. You then have the choice of staff preparing the trout for cooking on the barbecues and having lunch in their picnic area or taking the trout home. A great day out for the family. Four hour sessions are available by arrangement. Beginner's introductory lessons can be included if required. All rods, reels, landing nets and bait/flies are supplied.Guided tours of the farm are available at 10am and 2pm, or other times by arrangement. Travel south/west from Cooma on highway for a few minutes. Turn left at big wagon that leads up to Miss Heidis Austrian teahouse and restaurent....A bavarian log cabin type with log fire that feels like something out of a Hanzel and Gretel story. Go past Miss Heidis and you are at the top with a 10 metre walk to lookout and viewing platform. There is a brass compass showing locations and distances on a rock plinth. Toilets and a walking track round Mount Gladstone with another lookout. Great to break your trip on way to the snow or coming back stop for Gluwein, krantsky, crepes, pancakes, goulash, sauerkraut, cheescakes, coffee, wine and more. Feels like Austria but with an Australian view.

"Because two mates wanted to make great beer" - Tumut River Brewing is a microbrewery with an adjoining taproom and restaurant offering Craft Beer (24 taps), House Roasted Coffee, Gourmet Pizza, Brewery Tours and Live Music most weekends. We are open 7 days a week-come and have a cold one with us!!
This is a great spot to call into while in Tumut, which is a lovely town. Great range of beers, friendly staff, nice variety of food and snacks, and the ginger beer - Ginger Ninja - is great.

The Snowy Vineyard restaurant and Microbrewery. Pop next door for lunch at the restaurant, partake in some wine tasting or maybe put down a brew or two. A beautiful Alacarte restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. Go for a lovely stroll down to the river or over the hills after lunch. You don’t ever have to leave the property!
Took a detour to this great little microbrewery on our way to Lake Crackenback. Scenic drive (albeit on dirt road for some of the way) with cows, sheep (some lambing) and kangaroos casually watching us pass by. The brewery has a big variety of beers and ciders, and we enjoyed a couple of paddles to wash down a beautiful array of great cheeses. Couldn’t resist picking up a box of ginger cider and carton of XPA to enjoy around the fire. Thanks Liz and Bart for making us feel so welcome.
