Itâs economical, and not unfriendly - but thatâs about the most I can say for this place. When a pudding comes to your table still in its supermarket packaging, complete with âbest beforeâ date, you know youâve gone budget. Would not feature in a list of my recommendations in Begur, unless youâre staying there for a month and have tried everywhere else. And even then, probably not. For a few euros more you can do so much better in this town. Muchas gracias, Can pere

The dish is absolutely delicious at LA FLAMA. You have to order their signature dishes, patates braves and croquetes! No matter tapas or lunch set menu are amazing and the price is afordable as well. Besides their dish, the staff is always friendly and helpful. They also take reservation so make sure that you make one when there is a tennis/ paddle tournament going on in the club!

There are three generations behind tipis charming restaurant. It serves local Emporda, market cuisine cooked with care and good taste. It has two dining rooms, a third, private golf-inspired dining hall and an outdoor pergola.
Went a couple of times to this restaurant in the evenings as it was close to our villa. Both times the food was good particularly the fideiu with prawns and the steaks. Very good wine, and attentive and friendly service. Easy to park.

Restaurant Sabors is a family project. We offer Mediterranean and market cuisine with fresh produce and proximity in an unbeatable setting in the heart of Costa Brava.
Brotherly love takes center stage at Sabors, the tapas restaurant born of the partnership of brothers Victor and Andor Serra in Cataluña, Spain. With family recipes handed down from generation to generation, the brothers know how to prepare and serve the freshest seafood in the most delicious dishes. My friend and I enjoyed lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and she suggested we sit on the terrace to enjoy the beautiful weather. The restaurant design has a beachy feel, with light sand-colored furniture on the inside, and a great mix of different tables and chairs on the terrace. The atmosphere is laid-back and relaxed, the perfect vibe. We shared a variety of starters, each delicious in their own way. I loved the spider crab filled taco with guacamole and purple onion, as it was creamy and the meat delicate. The tuna tartare with nori seaweed was also great, and the wasabi added a spiciness that paired well with the fish. My friend chose the char-grilled fresh sardine tart, with sautéed black olives and lemon gel as her favorite, saying the mix of tart olives and lemon were the perfect profile for the sardines. For my main dish, I chose filet of corvina, cooked to a low temperature, and served with beetroot foam, Salicornia seaweed, pate of black garlic tapenade and sprinkles of black garlic. The filet melted in my mouth, while the mix of complimentary flavors was delightful. My friend opted for octopus with potato parmentier puree sprinkled with paprika, and she was very happy with her choice. For dessert, we just had to try Eleonoreâs cake, which was a special family recipe of the brotherâs German grandmother. Amazing, especially when paired with 70% Belgian chocolate ice cream or Madagascar vanilla ice cream, which we also loved. It was a great day at Sabors, and Iâd highly recommend the experience to everyone.

Organic and local grown food ⢠Vegan and vegetarian food ⢠Organic and artisan bread on request ⢠Organic meat opcions ⢠Gluten free options
Had the wonderful opportunity to meet the owners of the coffee (lovely young couple) and learned about their experience in a small, traditional Spanish town. Thought, yet, there they are ! The place is cool, young, fresh, fun and full of cacti--everybody loves cacti.Food: TRANSPARENTLY home-made. Everything from the bread itself, to the crackers, to the focaccias, to the seitan is made by the chef who, I believe, must be a baker of some sort for every dish was perfectly mastered. The place is vegetarian and vegan friendly. It heavily relies, however, on organic wheat. Which makes it awfully gluten-free unfriendly. I personally could not eat there everyday considering I try to avoid wheat as much as possible. But let the world know, that if I am to eat gluten and wheat again, it shall be there, with their incredible home-made bread and focaccias. ALSO: dog-friendly. Cheers xx
