Bucaramanga is Colombian's secret treasure. The city has the best quality of life in the country. That translate into a great city for tourism. It is safer that any other city in the country and it offers a great portfolio of activities. The exchange rate dollar / peso make it very affordable for family vacationing. Traffics is great, you can commute to any point of the city under 20 minutes. In recent years the city has transformed itself. You now find great hotels, restaurants, malls and activities. If you like sports, you can stay in either Ruitoque or Club Campestre. Both offer international renown golf courses and tennis courts. If you are a little adventurous, you can paraglide in the mountains nearby (very good paraglide schools) or you can go to Sanguil to canoe in the rapids of the rivers. For family activities, you can go to the nearby mountains to ride in the cable cards to visit several attractions like Panachi, Chicamocha and El Santisimo or go to la Mesa de los Santos to many of the lake resorts. I stayed in the country club Campestre with my family, I played golf and my family enjoyed the pool and tennis. If you feel adventurous just dump Cartagena and bogota and go straight to Bucaramanga and eat some Hormigas culonas and have fun.

Firstly allow me to note that I visited the Floridablanca location for this review, however their profiles here appear to be consolidated. I had to try something that is usually overtly non-veggie friendly and I was thrilled. I had the Bandeja Paisa, rice, beans, salad, an egg, and a piece of gluten. Well done, prompt service, good prices, and very filling.

Cavamar es un restaurante exclusivo que ofrece a sus visitantes las mejores combinaciones de sabores y aromas.
I ate jaiba dumplings/rolls in mango ceviche, Squid Salad & Orange -Cape gooseberry juice....My only complaint is with the olives in my salad: they had seeds inside...A bit dangerous! The drink without sugar was rich in vitamin C, the jaiba flesh inside the rolls was not overcooked and mild enough to enjoy!I value quality over quantity
