Find out what Grill restaurants to try in Valletta. Founded in 1565 by the Order of St John as a refuge for soldiers returning from the Crusades, Valletta is now the capital of Malta and a piece of living history. With an unsurpassed collection of original Baroque architecture, fortified city walls overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and the spectacular Co-Cathedral of St John, which features intricately carved stone vaults and a famed painting by Caravaggio, it is no wonder that this smallest of European capital cities is a world heritage site.

We have eaten at many of the Valletta Waterfront restaurants during visits to Malta so we decided to add this one to the list. The waiter was super friendly and accommodating and we had a lovely table right on the waters edge. The view over Grand Harbour was very pretty. The menu is geared towards meat lovers, many good cuts of meat cooked in a variety of ways. That said, as a vegetarian (Married to a meat lover!) I didn't struggle to find something I liked, and the food was good. My Husband loved his steak and still talks about it now! We'll go back when we're next in Malta.
