Le Miroir overlooks the central square and charming medieval church of the village of Dochamps, in the Belgian Ardennes. If has the feel of the village pub, with the owner serving in shorts, the astonishing color settting of the windowless dining room (clean and perfect acoustics!), frequently used for the local dance. The surprise comes with the card: 13 different exciting plates around scampi, for example scampi in La Chouffe (the local beer) with Jambon d'Ardenne. If the weather allows to sit out (you never know in the Ardennes) take the opportunity to great the locals. We could not manage a desert after the scampi dish, but have a stroll through Dochamps and look at the charming houses, most of them not destroyed (yet) by their weekend owners.

J'étais passé directement après l'ouverture et s'il est vrai que le repas était bon et le vin qui l'accompagnait également, j'avais trouvé l'environnement et le service un peu déplorable. Ayant maintenant annexé "La Gibecière", il semble qu'il y ait une amélioration qui est ressentie positivement par une clientèle plus nombreuse me semble-t-il. Les grillades sont à point, le service très correct et assez rapide. Les brochettes sont toujours cuites en salle et agrémentées à la demande du client de salade et pommes frites ou autres. Le seul problème me semble-t-il, les deux établissements étant contigus, c'est le passage des boissons du bar qui est maintenant à la Gibecière. A revoir dans quelques temps, quand le rodage sera termine.

We ate pizza& pasta at this pizzeria on a busy public holiday night.The pizza was of decent quality, the pasta was not bad but not great either. The wine list is basic and of average to high price level. Our Sicilian Nero D'avola was certainly fine though.The inside atmosphere is below average: very limited outside view from within and very busy inside due to all the take away clients waiting for their order.

We visited from UK in May. Little English was spiken but they were so friendly and food was fantastic. Caution though Americano burger is really steak Tatar (insert embarrassed smiley) they very kindly exchanged my faux pas for a real cooked burger! Highly reccomended!

Un endroit très agréable perdu à l'orée d'un petit village.Le bâtiment et les abords sont très avenants.Dès notre entrée, nous avons été charmés par l'ambiance. Feu de bois, mobilier sobre, beaucoup de clarté, vue sur la cuisine... Le patron, au tempérament bien trempé, vous accueille chaleureusement. Madame est aux fourneaux.La carte est variée. Les steaks que nous avons mangés étaient excellents, servis avec salade et frites. Les portions sont prévues pour de bons mangeurs.Et les prix défient toute concurrence : 13⬠pour un steak nature avec accompagnements.A recommander!
