Reviews on Greek food in Coatbridge, Scotland, United Kingdom. Coatbridge (Scots: Cotbrig or Coatbrig, Scottish Gaelic: Drochaid a' Chòta) is a town in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, about 8.5 miles (13.7 km) east of Glasgow city centre, set in the central Lowlands. The town, with neighbouring Airdrie, is part of the Greater Glasgow urban area. While the earliest known settlement of the area dates back to the Stone Age era, the founding of the town can be traced to the 12th century, when a Royal Charter was granted to the monks of Newbattle Abbey by King Malcolm IV. Coatbridge, along with its neighbour Airdrie, forms the area known as the Monklands.

Went yesterday 5/6/19 with our granddaughter for lunch, would definitely not advise lunchtime as there was nobody else in but the 3 of us . Husband had calamari and he said it was lovely, our granddaughter had the chicken skewers she enjoyed that , we ordered the lamb gyros ( kofta )and paid a £1:50 surcharge each but what we actually got was roast Lamb on a pita . Sorely sorely disappointed! Would have complained only our granddaughter was with us . Had Gyros many times but never ever with Roast Lamb . Donât think we will be back .

Amazing restaurant serving wonderful home-cooked Greek food. The owners are so friendly and charming and obviously know their cuisine thoroughly! Itâs great to see a quality restaurant in Airdrie. Please support this enterprise.

We enjoyed a great meal here at Plato in Bothwell. Extensive menu with a great choice, . I had the Chicken Souviaki and really enjoyed it, They also have pre-theatre meals of two and three courses. Service was good and staff pleasant, food reasonably priced. I like Greek food and will be back very soon. We dined during the week on a Monday, but I imagine it will get very busy weekends so booking essential.

The East End of Glasgow has been needing more decent restaurants for a long time so Kastriot's is very welcome. I had been meaning to visit for ages but managed yesterday after a Maundy Thursday church service. Arriving about 2030, there were quite a number of customers there but I think no one arrived later than me. Excellent chicken and rice dish with a couple of beers. Nice atmosphere with one of the staff pretty loud and boisterous! I was the final customer to leave (it closes at 2200) so don't arrive too late
