The city is the county seat of Floyd County. It is bounded by I-265 to the north and the Ohio River to the south, and is considered part of the Louisville, Kentucky Metropolitan Statistical Area. The mayor of New Albany is Jeff Gahan, a Democrat; he was re-elected in 2015.

We are also a full service magic shop featuring magic props, books, and instructions for both beginners and advanced performers. We also stock a selection of Hanayama puzzles, lock picks, escape tools, puzzle boxes, gags and novelties.

I love magic. I'm terrible at it myself, but there is a spirit of enthusiasm for harmless deception that Brent and his family and his guests share. He's a technician and a small business entrepreneur and a brilliant backstage showman. I knew before I entered his shop that I was going to be impressed. I can honestly say that I walked out feeling a little more connected to the wonder that magic inspires. Go for a performance. I saw John Michael Hinton in the intimate 30 seat theater at the shop and I felt like I was he was a friend and he was sharing something amazing with me and a few friends. This place is special.
