Surprised by the beautiful patio full of locals enjoying a long lunch. We were the only tourists and the wait staff spoke very little English. Not a problem as they really tried very hard to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our meal. Did the buffet of salads and vegetables, had incredible grilled octopus, followed by the dessert buffet. A nice cold carafe of house Rose was perfect. For two of us, the price was under $40.00! This was the first meal of our 5 day stay in the region and was the best by far!

Last time I visited this place it was quite delapidated. Now there is a new owner who has revitalised the place! Re-opened more than a month ago. Waiter knows a lot about wine and food is great. In the summer there is a terrace to eat outside and I saw an outdoor bar which I hope will also be part of the fun. It is next to the impressive Aquaduc de Roquefavour in a beautiful area just outside Aix-en-Provence on the road to Ventabren.

Chose this restaurant as a result of reviews on TA. The service was fine, the starters and desserts excellent, but the much vaunted seven hour cooked lamb was disappointing. It was served warm rather than hot, and the accompanying vegetables were either reheated or over cooked- or both. Also, we ate table dâdote but were charged a la carte...... naughty! Weâll find somewhere else next time.......

My wife and I walked by this beautiful little restaurant at lunchtime, reviewed the dinner menu and made a reservation. It was a great choice! The restaurant is located in the common area at the intersection of three quiet streets. We ordered scallops and lamb and both were great. We combined it with a reasonably priced bottle of Sauvignon. We finished the meal with an assortment of bite sized sweets-fantastic! Service was attentive but not intrusive. Definitely will go back!
