It is sometimes hard to meet expectations when one has such excellent memories of previous visits. So after our kir royal we were slightly taken aback when (1) the salad then came as part of the menu d'été was rather insignificant and wilted; (2) the waiter forgot to bring the bread with the starter (for which he later on profusely apologised) and (3) the amuse gueule announced for the menus apparently did not apply to à la carte meals.I found my starter (gaspacho with focaccio and goat cheese - see picture) slightly farfetched but the combination of the goatcheese with the gaspacho was good. From then on things looked up and all was forgiven, because the main dishes were glorious: the small octopus a la plancha on a bed of saffron risotto with artichoke bottoms mixed in, as well as the freshly made steak tartare. I had a little advokaat in between (a Dutch/Belgian alcoholic delicacy) and then dessert managed to keep up the standards with my galette with almond cream and poached Valais apricot with delicate icecream. Tasty food with a selection of salads, meat dishes and good-sized desserts. A little pricey - but nothing outrageous for Switzerland. Nice modern interior.

Le Mille Feuilles is a decent restaurant offering high quality food served by an efficient and highly attentive staff. The ambience is very pleasant and rather posh even though this restaurant is located within a shopping center, as well as next to an ibis Styles Hotel and VITAM water park and spa. The starters we had (trilogy of tomatoes with buffalo mozzarella, cold veal platter with parmesan), as well as the mains (beef filet, poultry) and desserts (red berries assortment, mascarpone and red berries mille feuilles), were all of impeccable artisan quality, nicely presented and of excellent taste. Kind waiters gods food but really expensive and the 12cl wine glass are hilariously small for 6 Euro bill. Depressing as the whole area around it.

We took some friends here to enjoy a leisurely lunch, sitting on the nice terrace of this highly recommended restaurant. We arrived when the service was in full swing and were shown to our reserved table but had to wait about 15 mins before getting the menus. Three of us ordered steaks, one well-done, one medium, one rare. When they came we did not see any difference. The service was extremely slow, even though many guests had already left when we started our meal. Hope they will improve, as the setting is lovely.We read your comment carefully and would like to thank you for your feedbacks.
