The town is near the southern shore of Lough Neagh and is in the north-eastern corner of County Armagh. Lurgan is about 18 miles (29 km) south-west of Belfast and is linked to the city by both the M1 motorway and the Belfast–Dublin railway line. It had a population of about 23,000 at the 2001 Census. It is within the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon district.

On holiday in the area visiting family and popped in for a drink. Was a bit nervous but the bar staff (ginger) was really nice and had good craic! Pineapple margaritas were gorgeous!! Best carvery around. When we have been it's always busy but the food is alway fresh and great portion sizes. Good variety too including fish for non meat eaters. Have taken various family and friends and they all comment on how impressed they are with the quality of food and nice surroundings.
