We were recommended to this place. First impression quite dark inside and tables dreadfully close. Set out to maximise number of âcoversâand not necessarily for comfort. We selected the 37 euro menu which had a fairly limited choice for our taste.Had the octopus (it looked like someone just sliced a bit of its tentacles) which we could not eat. Not what we had expected. (Probably should not have ordered it but choice was very limited) The consommé the octopus sat in was very good. Main course there âspecialâ chicken.A small âpoussinâ chicken roasted with mashed potatoes. Strange sauce. Cannot recall if we had vegetables or not although I donât think so.Made better at home or go to Nandoâs. Cheaper and tastier. The hi-light of the meal were the deserts which were awesome.Apart from the niggly things we were unfortunate to be sat next to a very loud gentleman from over the pond who wanted to share how wealthy he was blah blah blah. Ruined our meal and those who had the misfortune to be close (not difficult as the table was 16 inches away from us.Maybe we were unlucky but we would not eat here again.

This place has long story in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence: Movie theather during the 20th Century(1911-1978) and Cabaret 'Henry 4' in the 19th century (1860-1910) Nowadays the restaurant is big place in which you will enjoy oriental or mediterraneen food. Come
The frontage looks small, but there's a big, airy, very high-ceilinged room behind it. There are both Moroccan and Mediterranean menus. First courses we had were beautifully presented: carpaccio of scallops, foie gras with date purée and brioche. One of us had fish - John Dory - and reported that the vegetables were exceptional, including a carrot puré with ginger, he ate it all and he doesn't even like veg! Tagines were good and the couscous light as a feather. We had a white Romanin, correct and easy to drink! Helpful and charming service. We'll certainly go back.

As soon as you walk in Le Bistrot there's an instanlty positive and dynamic impression. It was packed with locals for Friday lunch in this very animated area of Montfavet. It's called a "brasserie gastronomique" so the prices are adapted. The 2-dishes formula is 25,90⬠++ The "pavé de boeuf" was excellent, cooked perfectly "saignant". My magret de canard was equally good, although I would have liked some green vegetables with the dish. The service was excellent from beginning to end !In summer there's a nice terrace. Over all a very positive experience.

Hot summers evening searching for somewhere to eat we stumbled on this cafe/bistro in the centre of the village. the terrace was packed - a good sign so we grabbed the last table. The service was homely if slow - but the temperature was over 30 at 9pm! Portions are huge and we struggled to finish. Salads are good and the charcuterie but the meat can be dry and tough. Desserts are the usual cafe - creme brûlée - a bit rubbery and ice cream. All in all OK but when the bill exceeds 120 Euros for us and two kids we wonder if it is value for money.

Good food and wine and at a very reasonable price. Staff are always friendly and most helpful. Its a local for us and has a lovely private shaded terrace for those summer months
