Country Pub and Restaurant set in the area of outstanding natural beauty in the South Shropshire Hills. Home to great food and drink and in a great location just off the A49 The Station Inn is also home to 6 beautiful heated camping pods, a camping field
Ate here at lunchtime, after a recommendation from a friend. I had the station burger, which was cooked medium and to perfection, it was absolutely delicious, and for once I could taste everything in the burger, the cheese was yummy, and the burger was juicy and lovely. My partner had a 10oz flat iron steak, med rare, and it was to die for, came with lovely chunky chips and mushrooms. All were delicious, and we will definitely be returning.

The Unicorn Inn is a family run pub That now does accommodation, which resides in a beautiful riverside location. The pub itself is a grade two listed building with many old features that add to its unique character. From the wooden beams to the uneven fl
We booked based on tripadvisor reviews and I contacted them in advance to ask about parking because we weren't familiar with the location. We got a helpful email back advising that the parking outside is mostly permit parking so they've got some parking and they would take us to it. That sounded great so on arrival my wife went in to sort it as advised and was told to find some parking outside. Great start! Fortunately, I did manage to find something a few minutes walk away but there is no obvious parking nearby so I think I got lucky.Service once inside was good though and the beer was very good. The pub is a slightly unusual layout and does feel more like a pub that's been turned into a foody pub/restaurant - not a problem but it does feel a little confused. The food is what you'd probably expect in Ludlow and a little more foody than typical pubs - not a big menu but I struggled to choose because so many dishes sounded very good! My main was patridge which I haven't had before - it was very good and the sauce was as good as it gets but I did bite into at least 4 shot pellets - I'm not sure how normal that is but I didn't want to make a fuss so didn't raise. They were also very accomodatig with my 12 year old daughter - they don't offer an evening kids menu but they swapped her dish around a litte and her steak was perfect so impressed with that!Overall we had a good evening and the food was very, very good so we would return.

The famous and historic Three Tuns Inn, (known locally as 'The Tuns') set at the top of Bishops Castle has been open since 1642! A deceptively large interior offers lounge, conservatory, snug, front bar and function room. Standing on the site of the oldes
Great ambiance from the moment we walked in. Friendly staff. Fab selection of Gins!We sat in the cosy bar and ordered our food. I had a hummus plate which was lovely served with tasty olives and warm pitta. My friend had the camembert which looked gorgeous, served with roasted garlic and warm baguette. I would never usually order a burger but had heard how great they were. I was not disappointed!! It is so refreshing to have homemade chips, onion rings and slaw. The burger was succulent and tasty. Food came in good time and was served by a friendly waitress. We have never been to the three tuns before but will definitely return!!!

Four of us dined here on Aug 31. Very restrictive menu and poor quantity and quality food. Rather deceptive pricing making the meal pricey for the quantity, beer decent and fair priced. Very noisy dining from the bar area. Will not return, many better âvalue for moneyâ around the area

The Coach House Norbury is a modern country inn nestled deep in the South Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Local chef Harry Bullock creates beautifully presented, flavourful interpretations of British classics with particular emphasis
This restaurant stands out from the crowd in rural Shropshire, where many of the eateries serve enormous portions of burgers, chips and pies. Here all the dishes we ordered were refined - more like nouvelle cuisine - with small but very tasty portion sizes. The restaurant is off the beaten track though easy to find, and it seems like it used to be a pub in the old days, with one area converted to comfy leather sofas where you can sip your G&T and study the menu, and the rest set out with spacious tables. The menu is limited to a few options per course, but changed every month, which I think is an excellent alternative to the usual extensive menus where you know not everything could possibly be fresh. I had asparagus as a starter - could have eaten more but it was good - while my husband had crab. I then had a superb fillet steak where he had lamb. We shared a dessert. With a couple of beers and 3 glasses of wine, the bill came to just over £100. Fine dining doesn't come cheap but if we were local we would come back now and again.Dear JoanK, Thank you for your very positive review. We're glad you enjoyed our food, menus and our restaurant. It did indeed used to be an old village pub which had been closed for a while when we bought it. As you've rightly pointed out there are plenty of places competing for the largest portions at the cheapest prices so we wanted to do something a little different. We wanted to celebrate the best of the incredible seasonal produce that surrounds us and serve it in an unpretentious atmosphere by passionate people. We hope we are achieving that and we are delighted to hear that you would return now and again if you were local. Many thanks, Sean & the Coach House Team
