We had lunch at the cafe before taking the self guided tour. The cassava pancakes with pulled pork were fantastic. Drinks were great too - I tried Bellini with some local juice and my husband had an artisan craft beer. And a lovely breeze on a hot day was a huge bonus!

We went to The Mews for date night. Itâs a nice restaurant with a great ambience and excellent service. However, the food was mediocre in comparison to the price. My husband thought his dish was ok. Mine was overcooked and a small portion size.

My husband and I stopped by here with our son and family. We shared a starter of Bajan fish cakes which are not quite the same as British fish cakes. These were delicious and not at all greasy as some we have had else where. My husband and son ordered the pulled pork sandwich. They both really enjoyed this: tasty and good quality pork. Just be careful, peppers on a menu in Barbados can be very hot so check. They were happy to put the peppers on the side for my husband just incase they were too hot. One grand daughter had a very succulent burger and the other joined her Mum in having the fish sandwich. Both gave it the thumbs up. I had catch of the day with sautéed potatoes and a generous portion of perfectly cooked mixed vegetables. The fish was cooked to perfection. All sandwiches and burgers were accompanied by a choice of fries. Some of us had pudding, a very scrumptious chocolate chip bread and butter pudding with rum sauce. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. Food was obviously freshly cooked and was all of a high standard. It wasnât necessary to visit the caves to be able to access the bistro. We would be happy to return on a future visit to Barbados.Lesley,Thank you so much for lunching with us, and thank you for the amazing first review, we truly appreciate your business and we hope you will come back and lunch with us again on your next visit.
